500lbs of Fudge

Years ago, I sold fudge. One Christmas I sold 500lbs!!! It was insane. Needless to say, I haven't made it in a long time. I decided to make some for our Valentine's Party this year. I also thought it would make cute gifts.

Fudge makes for a lovely and rich gift. There are many different types of fudge that you can choose from, including traditional chocolate fudge, as well as flavors like vanilla, peanut butter, and rocky road. I feel like the 'almond extract' in my fudge makes it a bit different.

I created this tag for this year's treats. It's an instant download tag.

The tag can be found HERE.

Here is an editable tag that would pair nicely with a gift of fudge!

EDITABLE CHOCOLATE TAG

Here is the recipe that I use:

  • 4 cups of sugar
  • can of Evaporated Milk
  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 1 1/2 bags of semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1/2 bag of milk chocolate
  • 2 cups walnuts
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. almond extract

Cut up 2 sticks of butter and add to a large bowl. Add chocolate chips and walnuts to the butter bowl. (I usually shake my walnuts in a strainer before combining.) Combine sugar and milk in large saucepan and bring to a boil. Boil for 7 minutes. Take off of hot burner. Add chocolate chip mixture. Give the mixture several stirs then add in extracts. Transfer to a greased sheet pan and place in refrigerator to set.

*I grease my sheet pan with the 2 butter wrappers

XOXO, Casey
